Your privacy choices
How we use cookies and similar technologies · review-notice version 0.1
Necessary cookies and session storage are always on so My Starday can work securely. Optional analytics and marketing are off by default until you choose to turn them on. We never send child routine or completion data to advertising platforms.
Always on — necessary for the service
These are required whether you are browsing our public website or signed in to the app. You cannot switch them off without breaking login and security.
- Session and login cookies — keep you signed in and protect your account (httpOnly access and refresh tokens)
- Security and functionality storage — always granted in Google Consent Mode (
security_storage,functionality_storageon the public website) - Settings you choose — for example theme or display preferences stored locally
The core app — schedules, stars, child PIN login, and family data — works without optional analytics or marketing.
Optional — only if you opt in
On our public website (pages like the English landing page), a cookie banner asks for your permission before optional tracking starts. Until you choose otherwise, analytics and marketing consent stay denied. You can reject all, accept all, or pick individual categories.
| Category | What it does | Technologies | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| Analytics | Helps us understand how the website is used so we can improve it. Page views are not sent until you allow analytics. | Google Analytics 4 (G-8PYNFJH1EQ) via Google Consent Mode v2 (analytics_storage) |
Off |
| Marketing | Measures ad campaigns and may support remarketing on the website. Loads only after marketing consent. | Meta Pixel (2130511090854218) and Google Ads (AW-7601142474) via Consent Mode (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) |
Off |
| Personalisation | Adapts content and recommendations on the website when enabled. | Google Consent Mode (personalization_storage) |
Off |
Your website choices are saved in localStorage (cookie_consent) and a first-party cc_consent cookie so we remember them for up to one year.
When you are signed in
Inside the app, optional tracking is managed separately through your account consent, not the public cookie banner. Go to Settings → Privacy (the “Samtycke & Integritet” section) to review or change:
- Analytics & improvement (
analytics_storage) - Marketing (
ad_storage) - Data to platforms (
ad_user_data) - Personalisation (
ad_personalization)
Choices are stored on our servers via POST /api/consent and applied through the same Google Consent Mode v2 and Meta Pixel rules: nothing optional runs until you grant it.
How to change your choices
On the public website
- Use the cookie banner when it appears on your first visit
- Re-open it any time from the footer link “Cookie settings” (calls
CookieBanner.open()) - Choose Reject all to keep optional tracking off, or Save my choices to pick categories individually
In the signed-in app
- Open Settings → Privacy and tap Change consent settings
Native iOS and Android apps
The web-style cookie banner is not shown inside the native app shell. Consent is handled through the in-app Settings flow above.
What we never send to ad platforms
Even if you turn on marketing consent, we do not send child routine data, activity completions, star history, schedules, or other in-app family content to Meta, Google Ads, or similar advertising platforms. Marketing tags on the website measure site visits and campaign performance — not what a child checked off in their day.
