EEA Terms of Service
Version 0.1 · August 2026 · Internal compliance sign-off — not externally legally verified
Thank you for using My Starday. These terms are written to be clear and fair — not to hide behind legal jargon. If you have questions, please contact us.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of My Starday when you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), including Ireland when that market opens. They are a contract between you and Papa Bravo AB, the company that provides the service.
By creating an account or continuing to use My Starday, you agree to these Terms and to our EEA Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. About the service
My Starday is a digital service for families who want structured daily schedules, star rewards for progress, and a dedicated child view where children can follow their activities. The service is intended for parents, carers, and their children.
Each family needs at least one adult (parent or carer) with an account. Children sign in to the child view with a PIN chosen by the adult account holder. My Starday is designed for personal, non-commercial family use.
2. Account and security
You are responsible for keeping your account and credentials secure:
- Choose a strong password and do not share it with others
- Protect your email address — it is used to recover access to your account
- The child-view PIN should be known only to the child and their parent or carer
- Do not use the service in any way that violates applicable law in your country
You are responsible for all activity under your account, including if someone else uses it with or without your permission. If you suspect unauthorised access, please contact us promptly.
3. Children and data
My Starday processes information about children. We follow GDPR and the principle of data minimisation. As the parent or carer who registers the account, you are responsible for:
- Creating and managing child profiles in the service
- Ensuring you have the authority to register children in your care
- Deciding whether to share reports or time-limited links with professionals such as educators or therapists
- Helping children understand how the service works, including our child privacy notice
Children are identified in the service by first name (or nickname) and a chosen emoji only — we do not collect surnames, national ID numbers, or contact details for children. We do not use children’s data for advertising or for purposes unrelated to running the service.
For full details on what we collect, how we use it, and your rights, see our EEA Privacy Notice. To remove a child’s data, delete the child profile or delete your entire account as described below.
4. User content
Schedules, rewards, activities, observations, and other content you add to My Starday belong to you (or your family). You grant Papa Bravo AB permission to store and display that content for as long as your account is active, solely so we can provide the service.
We do not copy, sell, or use your family content for marketing. You are responsible for ensuring that content you upload or create does not infringe anyone else’s rights or break applicable law.
5. Acceptable use
My Starday is for personal, private use within your family. The following is not permitted:
- Commercial use of the service without a written agreement with Papa Bravo AB
- Manipulating schedules, stars, or rewards except through the app’s normal flows
- Using automated tools, scrapers, or bots against the service
- Uploading, publishing, or sharing content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or infringing
- Attempting to bypass security, access other users’ accounts, or disrupt the service
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or applicable law.
6. Termination and deletion
You may delete your account at any time. In the app, go to Settings → Delete account and confirm with your password (or verification via Apple or Google sign-in, if you use those methods).
Important: Deletion is immediate and permanent. The following are removed and cannot be recovered:
- Your parent account (including name and email address)
- All child profiles linked to your family
- All schedules, routines, and activities
- All daily logs and activity history
- All stars, rewards, and redemptions
- Any educator observations or shared report links
- Family invitations and linked co-parent access
We may also suspend or close an account if it is used in breach of these Terms or applicable law. Where required by law, we will explain the reason and any options available to you.
7. Payments and subscriptions
Some features of My Starday may require a paid subscription. On iOS and Android, subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play through our subscription partner RevenueCat. We do not collect or store credit or debit card numbers — payment details are handled entirely by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies.
Prices are shown in the app before you confirm a purchase. For users in Ireland and other EEA markets, prices may be displayed in euros (EUR) where applicable. Subscription renewals, cancellations, refunds, and billing disputes on native apps are managed through your Apple or Google account settings, subject to their platform rules.
Some families may have free or complimentary access (for example, early supporters or promotional access). If your account has free access, no payment is required for the included features during that period.
Subscriptions on iOS and Android are sold through Apple App Store or Google Play (merchant of record). Prices, auto-renewal, cancellation, and refunds are managed in your store account settings, as described above. Digital content and service rules under Irish and EU consumer law may limit withdrawal once you begin using the service.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when needed — for example, because of legal changes, new features, or clarifications. If a change is material (such as how we handle personal data or paid features), we will notify you by email or in-app notice before it takes effect where required by law.
The “Version” date at the top of this page shows when these Terms were last updated. Continued use of My Starday after an update means you accept the revised Terms, unless applicable law gives you additional rights to object or withdraw.
9. Liability
My Starday is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep the service stable and secure, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation at all times.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Papa Bravo AB is not liable for:
- Loss of data caused by events outside our reasonable control (for example, power outages or natural disasters)
- Harm caused by sharing your password, child PIN, or account access with unauthorised people
- Indirect or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, or lost data, except where mandatory consumer law in your country requires otherwise
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory EEA consumer protection law. Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected.
You agree to use My Starday in accordance with these Terms and applicable law in your country of residence within the EEA.
